Hello, [community profile] paperjournals!

Okay, so in the spirit of things like the Community Participation Meme and Three Weeks For Dreamwidth, I'm going to try to kickstart this comm a bit. Wondering if people would be interested in things like weekly themes or challenges, or anything like that?

Anyway, here's some pictures from my not-very-artistic journal.

The actual journal. It's sort of tiny, smaller than A5 size I think.

er. I may have been feeling a bit moodswingy that day.

I don't know why, but I really like this page. The text is from chopping up an Ancient Greek textbook, which was kind of cathartic. (I hated learning Greek.)

POINTLESS DOODLING FTW.

Hello, new member here!

I think weekly themes would be nice, as long as we could still freely post non-themed stuff.

Your journal looks so pretty. I really like the second inside pic, too.

I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO DOES THIS YAY[/caps]

Yes, I think challenges or just periodic themes of some sort would be nice. I like the idea and I think it would encourage creativity at least among some of us. :)

I love your journal! I usually don't go for pink, but this one is beautiful!

I'm mostly a text writer and I don't post pictures or topics very often myself, but I don't object to periodic themes. It would be nice to see some more activity, and maybe themes and other posts will inspire me to be more visually artistic (or something).

This post was the tipping point that made me join this community <3 I love the textures you add to each page. Which brings me to the question: What type of paper/texture/textured paper did you use in the third image?? It looks really cool :D I'm dabbling in making journals (bookbinding, making covers, etc.), and I think whatever you used would make an interesting cover.

Also, I would be interested in the idea of weekly themes. I'm not sure how much I would participate, but it would be really cool to see what people do with each theme :)
