Earlier this year, I was stuck waiting alone in the CBD for several hours. Things were okay until 5pm, but then all the stores shut and I had to spend an hour and a half in McDonalds. While Borders had been open I'd bought a notebook, as I had nothing else to do. I kept it in my bag, and it's become my waiting book, mostly used at the many doctor appointments I've had in the last few months (how can a doctor be always an hour late by 9.30am? how?).

It's a pretty unassuming thing, isn't it! It's a DQ. The notepad is removable from the sleeve, and it's half lined/half blank pages, which is something I really like about it::

Additionally, I visited Thailand earlier this year, and bought a whole heap of notebooks (and other stationery items) there. :D

Here's a picture of all the cow ones from the pile (I collect cow stuff!) ::

Date: 2010-09-16 08:34 pm (UTC)I also love the waiting journal idea, but I usually spend my waiting time reading. Definitely something for me to keep in mind.
